What are architectural shingles?

Also called laminated or dimensional shingles, are made with a heavier base that creates a stronger, thicker shingle and gives a 3-dimensional look to your roof.

Is there difference between 3-tab shingles and architectural shingles?

3-tab shingles are flatter and thinner than the architectural shingles, producing a one-dimensional look to your roof. They usually have shorter warranties and lower wind ratings than laminated shingles.
